A. Withdrawal Notice for Contracts for the Purchase of Goods

In the case of distance contracts, e.g. contracts concluded by post, fax, online or by telephone, consumers generally have a right of withdrawal. A consumer is (pursuant to Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB), as amended) any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither attributable to their commercial nor their self-employed professional activity.
Unless the parties have agreed otherwise, the right of withdrawal does not apply to the following contracts: contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for the production of which an individual selection or determination by the consumer is decisive, or that are clearly tailored to the consumer’s personal needs; contracts for the supply of goods that may perish quickly or whose use-by date would be exceeded quickly; contracts for the supply of sealed goods that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene if their seal has been removed after delivery; contracts for the supply of goods if, due to their nature, they have been inseparably mixed with other goods after delivery; contracts for the supply of sound or video recordings or computer software in a sealed package if the seal has been removed after delivery; contracts for the supply of newspapers, magazines or illustrated magazines.

Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

In the case of a purchase contract, the withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods. In the case of a contract for multiple goods that you have ordered as part of a single order and that are delivered separately, the withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the last goods. In the case of a contract for the regular delivery of goods over a specified period, the withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the first goods.

You may use the attached model withdrawal form for this purpose, but this is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the notification of exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.

Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of the additional costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal from this contract. For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no event will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement. We may refuse reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or until you have provided evidence that you have returned the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You must return or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.

You shall bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

You only have to pay for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling of the goods that is not necessary to check their nature, characteristics and functioning.

B. Withdrawal Notice for Booking In-Person Seminars and In-Person Events

There is no right of withdrawal for the booking of in-person seminars and in-person events (Section 312g (2) No. 9 BGB). The declaration of intent aimed at booking a seminar or an event therefore cannot be withdrawn either.
